Binti Foundation is a community-based organization dedicated to menstrual health advocacy, education and empowerment for girls and women.
Binti Foundation was born from a heartbreaking realization that many girls still grow up misinformed, unprepared and unsupported through something as natural as menstruation. We met girls who didn't know how to use or dispose off a sanitary pad, some who had never held one and others who grew up feeling ashamed of their periods. It shattered us to realize that what we thought was long behind us is still their daily reality. Their stories broke our hearts and awakened a call to act.
With the girl in mind, we set out to change the story; to replace silence with conversation, fear with understanding and shame with pride. And because real change involves everyone, we also engage boys as allies helping them understand, respect and support girls around them. When girls are informed and communities choose compassion, period dignity begins to grow
At Binti Foundation, we envision a world where no girl misses school or faces limitations due to menstruation. We work to eliminate period poverty through education, advocacy, and community support.
Our mission is to empower girls with knowledge, resources, and confidence to manage their menstrual health with dignity, while advocating for policy changes that address period poverty at its roots.
We approach our work with deep understanding and compassion for the girls we serve.
We believe in the power of community to drive sustainable change and support.
We equip girls with knowledge and resources to take control of their health and futures.
We collaborate with organizations, schools, and communities to maximize our impact.
What started as a mentorhip initiative has evolved into school-based Binti clubs that educate girls on menstrual health, provide essential supplies and create safe spaces for dialogue and peer support. Through these clubs, girls lern, lead and uplift one another shaping a generation of confident informed young women.
The Bin-Male Program helps boys become allies-breaking stigma, encouraging empathy and nurturing a culture of respect and understanding. We also collaborate with men as mentors to guide and inspire boys to become responsible champions for menstrual health and gender equality. Together, they advance a generation that values respect, compassion and shared responsibility.
Through our mobile library, we reach schools and communities with books that children can borrow for a period of time.
Its our own way of nurturing a love for reading helping both girls and boys discover new worlds, dream bigger and grow in confidence and curiosity.
We care for the girls, boys and the planet. Through our eco initiatives we teach safe pad disposal, promote reusable menstrual products and communities - nurturing an environment where both girls and nature can thrive.
We collaborate with local businesses, NGOs, and health organizations to expand our reach and impact.
